Self-publishing Help

When you go the self-publishing route, you’ll need a graphic designer, formatting assistance, publishing help, and a guide through the process.

Why You Should Work with Us

  • You are passionate about your business and want to communicate that to potential customers.
  • You’ve got better things to do than tear your hair out over sentence composition.
  • You understand that while you can find writing services cheaper, you get what you pay for. You can always hire a non-native English speaker for less money. You will get content… it just won’t be pretty. Have you ever read something and thought to yourself “no one talks like that”? That’s what happens. If you want people to gain value from your communications and to become customers, don’t skimp on quality.

Blog Articles

You have so many responsibilities as a business owner, and prospecting for customers or clients is one of the most difficult (yet most important) tasks. What if there was a way to be seen by your ideal audience and convert them to customers with little to no work on your part? How would you like customers to come to you?

Blogging is a marketing tactic that will:

  • Improve your visibility online and drive people to your website. With the right keywords, your content will be found when potential customers search for answers to their problems.
  • Position you as the “go-to expert” (and solution) when potential customers have a problem.
  • Provide easily repurposed content for your social media feeds. Never worry about what to post.

There’s no reason to take time away from your business to write content. That’s what we’re here for.

Website content

Have you ever spent hours surfing around on a website because it’s pretty or flashy?

No. Me neither.

Sure, it’s important to have a good-looking website that’s pleasing to the eye and doesn’t visually offend your potential customers, but if your content is dull, uninformative, and poorly written – all the flash in the world can’t save you.

  • Would you like to increase the time potential customers spend on your website and increase the conversion of potential customers into actual customers?
  • Are you interested in establishing yourself as an expert in your field, allowing you to stand out among the sea of competitors?
  • Would you like to get more business from customers you’ve worked with in the past?

Your website needs to be catchy, informative, concisely written, and a reflection of your personality and your brand. We can help.

book coaching

You keep hearing that you should write a book to establish your credibility and position yourself as an expert in the field… you just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I can’t seem to find the time or motivation, but more importantly… what will I even write about?

Working with a book coach will help you:

  • Identify your reason for writing a book
  • Establish your goals for the project
  • Pinpoint your message
  • Identify your audience
  • Understand the differences between self-publishing and traditional publishing and decide which one is right for you
  • Organize your thoughts and create a workable outline
  • Find your own unique voice
  • Create a system to take action and stay motivated
  • Address any blocks (writing or otherwise) that are getting in the way
  • Have accountability for your project

ghostwriting

Forbes calls writing a book, “The ultimate ticket to establishing yourself as an authority. Authors are perceived as instant subject matter experts, which can attract media attention, dazzle clients and prospects, create opportunities for speaking engagements, and so much more.”

You want to write a book, but you don’t actually want to write a book. That’s okay. We’ll discuss your why, your goals, your audience, and the ideas you want to convey. Then, through a series of interviews, I will collect (and mine for) your intellectual property. I’ll organize your thoughts, and then write the book in your voice.

At the end of the process, you’ll have a book filled with your content that you can be proud of having written. Finally, I’ll slip off into the sunset so you can enjoy your new status as “author.”

editing

Even Stephen King needs an editor.

No matter how good a writer you are, you still need an editor. Why? Because as carefully as you review your work, your brain knows what you meant to write and it will automatically see it. That means you miss errors that another pair of (professional) eyes would’ve caught. We offer a variety of editing services to meet your needs.

Critique: We will review the outline and structure of your manuscript and focus on organization and overall feel of the book.

Developmental Edit: A big picture review of your book that looks at a book’s content, organization, structure, the flow of ideas, where you can strengthen arguments, etc.

Copy Edit: A closer look at a nearly-done manuscript. We will look at grammar, spelling, word usage and repetition, punctuation, and other elements to deliver a “clean” manuscript.

Proofread: The last step of the process before publishing, a proofread catches any errors that may have fallen through the cracks.

self-publishing services

When you traditionally publish, you hand over a manuscript and the publisher takes it from there. When you self-publish, the onus is on you to edit, get a cover design, format the book, get an ISBN, and publish through the proper channels.

You can do it yourself, but you don’t have to. We have a variety of services to assist you throughout the process and take one more set of responsibilities off your plate.  We can assist you with a number of services.

Graphic Design: Cover design and graphics to enhance your manuscript.

Formatting: For both digital and physical copies.

ISBN and Bar Code: Each book has a unique identifier. We’ll help you get yours.

Category Selection: The right categories could get you “Amazon Best Seller” status.

Marketing Materials: One sheet, press release, media kit
